There are so many ways to take care of your body at home! Here are some of my favorite resources....
Shakti Mats are an amazing way to relieve muscle tension. The small plastic spikes stimulate your body's qi, and can also reflect where you need to soften and breathe. This does not have to be painful, and can show you where breath and allowing are necessary in your body.
Cupping is a part of Chinese Medicine and is tied into the ancient wisdom of the tradition in China. Cupping is easy with the kits you can buy with a pump that creates air suction versus traditional fire cups. Cupping creates a suction on (usually your back), and creates qi and blood flow. Its good for muscle tension and most importantly when you are sick! It really helps the lungs. I do this on my kids when they're sick, and my 6 year old even knows how to properly apply them.
Tuning forks are amazing little tools to help balance your energy. You strike them, and they create a vibrational frequency . You place the tip of the tuning fork on different parts of your body, start with where there is noticeable tension.
This is a simple but important practice. Maybe you journal, and thats a really great part to do a daily check in. What I recommend to my clients is before falling asleep at night, to check in with your heart and ask it how its feeling. I know that might sound silly but its really important. We back log a lot of emotional content as humans and the best way to move lower frequency energy is to witness it. Thats how quantum physics applies to fields like acupuncture, and any quality energy work.
